Gdansk and Malbork from Warsaw

Your tour begins in Warsaw. You will be picked up by our English-speaking driver from your hotel. You will go to Malbork and visit the biggest gothic castle in the World. Afterwards, driver will transfer you for lunch to a local restaurant. Then you will move to Gdansk or Sopot and have a 2-hour guided tour around one of these cities. You will come back in Warsaw around 23:00 – 24:00.

What will you see during the tour to “Tricity” and Malbork?

In Gdansk you will visit to the Main City (Główne Miasto) area, pass the Coal Market (Targ Węglowy) where you will see the Museum of Amber. Richly decorated Golden Gate will lead you to the Long Market from which you will head to the the Green Gate. The Artus Court, a meeting place of merchants and a centre of social life, whose hayday falls into the 16th and 17th century will be your next stop. You will try to spot a colorful Dutch House (Dom Holenderski) and then have a break by the Neptune’s Fountain. Last but not least, visit the Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the largest brick church in the world!

If you wish (please inform us ahead) you can visit Sopot instead of Gdansk. The tour of Sopot includes a walk through a well known Heroes of Monte Cassino Street. You will see curvely shaped building ”Crooked house” and you will have a stroll along the longest wooden pier in Europe. You can see a lighthouse which is a navigation facility on the Polish Baltic coast as well. It was built in the beginning of XX century as a part of Balneological Institute. There are many monuments and stained-glass windows inside. You can get on the top of the lookout tower where you will get inside by the amazing view on the city and the sea.

Malbork is a town in the Vistula delta, founded by the Knights of the Teutonic Order. It is known for its medieval castle, built in the 13th century as the Order’s headquarters. The castle is the biggest castle complex in Europe and is also the biggest brick construction in the history. Inside the complex you will see the Courtyard, the Cloisters of the High Castle, the Summer Refectory and the Palace of Grand Master. This complex is listed on UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.
